20 Grams of Sugar Avoided!

Sugar-Free EggNog Smoothie

Are you drinking store-bought eggnog? If you are, you’re drinking 20 grams of sugar and let’s not start with the saturated fat. I’m presenting a better alternative!

Serves 4

Raw eggs? Yep! I do however, strongly suggest you by quality eggs. Luckily in Arizona we can get them year round from our local farmers but don’t let that stop you. Many grocery stores are carrying organic, cage-free eggs. They are so worth it considering what you would spend on a latte!.

So why raw? Consuming raw eggs is super way to eliminate stored toxins while you build healthy muscle! Plus, each egg contains 6 grams of digestible protein! You loose alot when you cook eggs. This smoothie preserves the vital enzymes and nutrients of the egg. Look how much more nutritious a raw egg is compared to one that is cooked!

    • 36% more vitamin D
    • 33% more omega-3s
    • 33% more DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)
    • 30% more lutein + zeaxanthin
    • 23% more choline
    • 20% more biotin
    • 19% more zink

Besides the fact that the YUM factor is AMAZING… you don’t have to feel deprived this holiday season when everyone else is drinking egg nog full of sugar. Between the alcohol and the cream of “traditional” egg nog (store bought or home made) you are consuming approx. 20 grams of sugar. That’s 5 teaspoons. That will kill a good buzz in a hurry!

This Christmas you can feel merry knowing you are giving yourself the gift of good health each and every day!

Happy Holidays!
