Digestive Help with Oil
I’ve been talking about my “Eat Your Oils” campaign, especially with pitching media resources. You see, April is National IBS awareness month. There are many oils that can be used within beverages and cooking that can help promote a healthier gut, limiting IBS symptoms.
One of my favorite oil blends is the DigestZen blend, which you can find here: https://www.doterratools.com/documents/DigestZen_Digestive_Blend_Product_Information_Page.pdf I really like to use a little bit of this blend when cooking steamed rice. The ginger really helps amplify the flavor of the rice. And, by the way, the rice is very healthy when trying to settle an upset stomach! It’s a win-win combination.
Another way one can use the DigestZen blend of oil to help his or her stomach is by adding a drop or two to water, tea (hot or cold), citrus-based smoothies and even ice-cubes. Research shows that ginger essential oil is an antiseptic; it kills infections that are caused by microorganisms and bacteria. This includes intestinal infections, bacterial dysentery and food poisoning.
Ginger oil is effective against malaria, for example, a mosquito-borne infectious disease. Malaria causes symptoms that typically include fever, fatigue, vomiting and headaches. Usually, however, Malaria isn’t a problem us Americans are worried about- but it is interesting information.
If you’re battling an upset stomach, IBS, or other types of health symptoms, please contact me. While I do focus on helping my clients lead a healthy lifestyle that is sugar-free, I can also help you understand what essential oils to eat and cook with that may eliminate certain health symptoms!
