Dr. Oz, Roseann Zaft & Sugar
Great minds think alike, which is why Dr. Oz agrees with me (lol) on the power sugar can have on our lives! Sugar is just as addictive as Crack Cocaine. It has the same power over our lives and is just as detrimental.
People have a hard time getting off sugar because it makes us feel good and we don’t notice the harmful effects it has on our body within an immediate realm. Like Dr. Oz says in the video, even sweet fruits contain lots of sugar and alternatives should be sought out.
I agree with his tip. Don’t down the sweet fruits because of the sugar content. Instead, sprinkle salt on sour fruits. It will make them taste sweeter and they are better for you. Tips and tricks, like this one, are listed within my book- which comes out tomorrow!
Slow carbs are also OK to eat. Don’t think of all carbs as the same type of “trouble” – they aren’t. Carbs help us regulate mood and propose other benefits too. If you eat a slow carb, like a sweet potato, your pancreas isn’t going to be overwhelmed and your system will thank you (oh, your sweet tooth with too!
The types of sugars you should consume, and the amounts, can be overwhelming. Plus, breaking a sugar addiction is the same as breaking a drug addiction. Your body will go through withdrawal and you may “fall off the wagon” on occasion. Don’t get frustrated.
To help get you started, I’m giving away a FREE Sugar Safety Sheet. You can download it here. Oh, and don’t forget…. My book comes out tomorrow on Amazon!
