On-the-Go Energy Quick Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Haven’t I said that before? If you don’t have the time to make a green smoothie for breakfast, be sure to have this on hand. It is so easy to make ahead and easy to grab when you are in a hurry. This on-the-go energy oatmeal breakfast is a perfect way to feel full and satisfied and keep blood sugar stable when you mix it with healthy fats, like seeds and nuts. Be sure to make a weeks worth and you’re covered. Never be without your breakfast again!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup 100% rolled oats (I prefer gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats)
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds 
  • ½ tsp cinnamon 
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds 
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds or pecans 
  • Dash of sea salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup goji berries or dried cranberries or raisins

Directions:  Put all ingredients in a re-sealable storage bag along with a disposable spoon. It’s perfect when you’re on-the-go — just add hot water and stir. This easy, nutrient-dense snack is full of disease-fighting nutrients and health benefits that will keep you full and help curb your cravings!
