Pumpkin-Spice Bulletproof Coffee
Trick or Treat? Did you know that Halloween is the next most popular holiday of the year next to Christmas? Why??? One word: Candy! Seems like October is the official start of the sugar season, starting with Halloween.Today I’m going to share a PERFECT fall/winter seasonal “morning after” drink (that isn’t a green smoothie or an apple cider elixir) if you’ve consumed too much of the sweet, artificial, and processed white stuff. Today I’m going to talk about a bulletproof coffee.
Specifically my Pumpkin-Spiced Bulletproof Coffee. Not familiar with Bulletproof Coffee? Read on. Let me just insert right now a special credit to Dave Asprey at www.bulletproofexec.com for the inspiration and directions nohow to make this amazing coffee drink. I discovered him and his “bulletproof coffee” about 5 years ago…and my morning coffee ritual hasn’t been the same (or healthier) since!

5 Steps To Make Bulletproof Pumpkin-Spice Bulletproof Coffee
- Make Coffee:
– Brew coffee as you normally would using organic beans - Pre-heat blender:
– Only if you are not using a high-speed blender, boil extra water and pour it into a blender while your coffee brews to pre-heat the blender. Dump out the hot water from the now pre-heated blender and add the brewed coffee - Add:
– Butter, Coconut Oil (or MCT Oil), Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Stevia (or maple syrup) - Froth:
Blend until there is a thick layer of foam on top like a latte. The stronger the blender, the better the froth. - Enjoy:
Ahhhhhhhh. Enjoy the “magic feeling” in your head and tummy as you sip this high performance creamy concoction mug of Pumpkin-Spiced Bulletproof Coffee
Key Tips About Your Pumpkin-Spiced Bulletproof Coffee
- Only use grass-fed butter like Kerrygold. Butter from grain-fed animals doesn’t blend as well or taste as good, plus it lacks fat soluble vitamins. Do NOT use a low-fat butter substitute.. yuck!
- I recommend using MCT oil, but if you can’t find it coconut oils works perfect. These oils promotes high energy, fat loss, and brain function. The oil also makes the coffee have a better feel in your mouth
- Did you know that If you are used to consuming a low-fat diet you are actually reducing the amount of fat-digesting enzymes you produce? If you’ve been avoiding fat for some time you may need some digestive support to help you digest the butter. Take a betaine HCL or a digestive enzyme supplement before you drink your Bulletproof coffee and will help your body digest the butter. PLUS you will be helping your body digest real food. Note to Vegans… this goes double for people who have been starving on low fat or low calorie diets.
- If you don’t want to take HCL or digestive supplements simply add less butter and allow your body to adapt.
