Why Weight Loss Fails
Some people are successful with their weight loss and then they gain it all back. Others can never truly reach their weight loss goals and it seems their efforts are a life-long commitment. Why do so many people have weight loss fails and others have incredible, permanent, weight loss?
The truth is the answer is a combination of a few attributes. First, change does not exist without consistency. You really have to be psychology committed to your goals right out of the gate. If you aren’t going into a commitment with a fully engaged heart and mindset, you’re going to fail. You need to really check how willing you are to change. For example, are you willing to give up a 500 calorie latte every morning to work towards a healthier you? If not, making a goal to lose weight isn’t that practice. Change is about commitment and redeveloping your schedule to meet the milestones associated with that commitment.
Weight Loss attempts can also fail because of bad advice. There are many weight loss programs available but that doesn’t mean they all work. Some programs are dangerous, some are good but not customized, and some don’t provide all the support or fitness components needed to really amp up fat loss. The best weight loss program is the one that is geared to your underlining health issues (if any) and really promote eating whole foods, less (hopefully no) sugar, and increase your fitness levels. Restricting foods or fad diets truly don’t work for any length of time.
Weight loss successes are achieved with a positive attitude and not just knowing what to eat but how to eat. Green smoothies, less sugar, more fitness- the concepts seem simple but the application (without support) can be complicated.
